A Gold Star Family is a family that had a service member die during service.
I became a Gold Star Wife on June 12, 2007. I lost most of my military family that day as well, but gained a new family in its place.
My family is involved with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors), Snowball Express, and A Soldier's Child Foundation.
I would not wish my trials on anyone, but I have learned and gained so much on this journey.
